Outcome

Removed the three 32px gaps around an open detail pane in every list/detail split; full pages and a maximized pane keep 2rem padding. Quick gate and changed-area tests are green; the visual check on the live stack showed no gaps or overflow. PR #6592 is queued to the merge lane.
