Clear Access Analyzer EFS findings on GMind's

Task 6689 · Done · Coder · created · updated

IAM Access Analyzer still reports two more NodeLink file systems as "allows public access" (found by Task 6677 on 2026-10-17): - prod `fs-05766f1491e3a219a` (GMind's adopted "NodeLink storage", Accounts NodeLink, AP `fsap-08edc15b4e6b3984d`). Its policy is still the terraform seed (Sid `AllowThroughTheAccountsAccessPointOnly`) with no `elasticfilesystem:AccessedViaMountTarget` condition. Findings are open on both the prod account analyzer and the org analyzer. - dev `fs-03fb6181b0a144eb8` (dev account 905905585302). Its finding is open on the org analyzer. Rewrite each policy through the console's **Repair policy** on the store's NodeLink Storage tab, as Task 6677 did for Cisne's `fs-02769ebfe9f7010b7`. Then confirm every Allow carries `AccessedViaMountTarget = true` and the findings resolve. GMind's store holds every fleet node's account tokens. Before the Repair, confirm that the store's live NodeLinks list every access point that nodes mount, so the rewritten policy does not drop one. Out of scope: mount options, access points, the network path, `aws:PrincipalOrgID` (no-iam mounts carry no principal). Done means: - `describe-file-system-policy` on both stores shows the condition on every Allow. - The Access Analyzer findings for both file systems are RESOLVED on every analyzer that reported them. - The console shows every attached node's mount as Mounted after the Repair.

Outcome

Ran Repair policy on prod and dev. Both EFS policies now carry AccessedViaMountTarget, all findings are RESOLVED and every mount still shows Mounted. Prod first needed a scoped PutFileSystemPolicy grant on the node launcher (hand-applied, PR #5618 merged, full gate green). Filed 6700 (Repair 500) and 6701.
