Identify and implement top five code reduction

Identify top 5 opportunities to massively reduce the amount of code (lines of code) in any part of the repo: - Similar functionality that can be unified and reused - Code that has been valuable but no more - A front end component or a group of them duplicate another component/page functionality. Use the most modern and nice looking - etc. Now implement them :)

Ninth reduction sweep: no massive cut remains. Ranked the top five (~400 prod + ~500 test lines): three answer routes and GET /api/telemetry/runs (public API, need a deprecation decision), older-jaahd shared-token fields (fleet census; cp-psql-reader refused), sync identity DB lane (Task 12744 owns it). Shipped #5: one home for a failed Add node's ⋯ verbs (hostVerbs.tsx), host page gains Edit connection, admin-gated. PR #7803 merged 19059bd1c5, Jaah Deploy success. Visual check done: Hosts list and host page render cleanly. Memory: used mem-35351; proposed 1 qa.
