No massive reduction exists: five detectors (jscpd, identifier-normalized AST census py+ts, knip, vulture, test-value audit) find 0.06% clones, 0 dead files/exports/functions on develop@53f820d. The five largest leftover pairs hold ~90 lines; collapsing the biggest made it longer, so reverted. No PR; report ranks what is left and the one real lever (test corpus > source). Memory: used none; proposed 1 qa, 1 gotcha.
