Reduce repository code volume through refactoring opportunities

Task 11456 · Done · Coder · created · updated

Identify top 5 opportunities to massively reduce the amount of code (lines of code) in any part of the repo: - Similar functionality that can be unified and reused - Code that has been valuable but no more - A front end component or a group of them duplicate another component/page functionality. Use the most modern and nice looking - etc. Now implement them :)

Outcome

Five reductions, net −745 lines (PR #7402 merged 27abd2e0d, Jaah Deploy green): one Change org dialog absorbs the bulk one; dead console redirects, thin clock wrappers, a dead reply key and a shipped task's mockup harness removed. Tree measures 0.03% clones; a massive cut is not available — larger levers (identity rev 2, nodelink v1 cache, /crons/:id, RETIRED_STATE_LABELS — cp-psql credential refused) deferred in the report. Visual check done: both dialog modes render cleanly at 1440px and 448px. Memory: none applied; proposed 1 gotcha.
